User Data Deletion
You may request deletion of personal information controlled by Banani Taekwondo Club ("BTC") and associated with our website, member portal, forms, or WhatsApp communications.
How to request deletion
- Email bananitaekwondoclub@gmail.com with the subject BTCWA1 Data Deletion Request.
- Include your full name and the phone number or email address used with BTC. If the request concerns a minor, identify the student and your relationship as parent or legal guardian.
- Describe what you want deleted, such as your portal account, enquiry, WhatsApp conversation copy, synchronized contact, or all information that BTC is permitted to delete.
- We may ask for limited additional information to verify that you are the person concerned or their authorised guardian. Do not send a password, payment PIN, or one-time verification code.
What happens next
- We aim to acknowledge a valid request within 7 business days.
- We aim to complete deletion within 30 days, unless the request is unusually complex or applicable law permits more time.
- We will confirm completion or explain any information we must retain and the reason.
Information we may delete
Depending on your request and our systems, deletion may cover portal profile and contact details, enquiry records, copies of WhatsApp messages or media stored by BTC, synchronized WhatsApp contact or chat-history data, notification preferences, and operational records that are no longer required.
Information we may retain
We may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, accounting, safeguarding, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or to record that an opt-out or deletion request was honoured. Retained information will be restricted and deleted or anonymized when the applicable need ends. Data may remain temporarily in protected backups until the normal backup-retention cycle expires.
WhatsApp and Meta data
This process deletes information controlled by BTC. It does not automatically delete your WhatsApp account, Facebook account, information retained independently by Meta/WhatsApp, or messages stored on another person's device. To exercise rights for those services, use the privacy and account tools provided by Meta or WhatsApp.
Stop WhatsApp messages without deleting data
To stop promotional WhatsApp messages, reply STOP or ask BTC to opt you out. You do not need to delete your information to stop marketing. Necessary membership, booking, safety, or transaction messages may still be sent when appropriate.
