Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Banani Taekwondo Club's website, member portal, forms, and digital communications, including WhatsApp (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. Separate enrolment, training, competition, payment, or event terms may also apply.
1. Who may use the Services
You must provide accurate information and be legally able to agree to these Terms. If a student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must use or supervise the Services and is responsible for information and permissions submitted for the student.
2. Accounts and security
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe an account or phone number has been used without permission. Never send passwords, PINs, or one-time verification codes to BTC through WhatsApp or ordinary forms.
3. Bookings, membership, and payments
Submitting a form or message does not guarantee a place in a class, event, or program until BTC confirms it. Prices, schedules, eligibility, payment deadlines, refunds, transfers, and cancellations may be governed by the applicable enrolment or event terms. Third-party payment networks process payments under their own terms.
4. WhatsApp communications
If you contact BTC on WhatsApp or provide a phone number for communications, you authorise us to respond and to send relevant service messages such as booking confirmations, schedule changes, reminders, membership notices, and support responses. Promotional messages will be sent only where permitted. You may opt out of promotional messages by replying STOP; this will not prevent necessary service or safety communications.
WhatsApp is not an emergency service. For urgent medical or safety emergencies, contact the appropriate emergency service directly.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Services unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm, harass, or impersonate another person;
- upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the Services, or bypass security controls;
- send confidential information you are not authorised to disclose;
- copy, scrape, or commercially exploit the Services or their content without permission; or
- use BTC's name, branding, photos, or materials in a misleading or unauthorised manner.
6. Training, health, and safety
Martial-arts and fitness activities involve physical effort and risk. Students and guardians must disclose relevant health or safety information to authorised BTC staff, follow instructor directions, use appropriate equipment, and obtain medical advice where needed. Online information is general and is not medical advice or a substitute for supervised instruction.
7. Intellectual property
The Services and their original text, design, software, graphics, logos, and training materials are owned by BTC or used with permission. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes connected with BTC services. Other use requires prior written permission.
8. User submissions
You remain responsible for information, messages, photos, or other material you submit. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions. We may remove content that violates these Terms, privacy, safety, or applicable law. Separate consent will be requested where required for public use of a student's image or achievements.
9. Third-party services
The Services may rely on or link to Meta, WhatsApp, payment networks, maps, hosting services, and other third parties. Their services are governed by their own terms. BTC is not responsible for third-party outages, policies, or content outside our reasonable control.
10. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update, suspend, or change the Services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, safety, non-payment, policy violations, or legal compliance.
11. Disclaimer and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the digital Services are provided on an "as available" basis. BTC is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by third-party systems, connectivity failures, unauthorised use outside our reasonable control, or reliance on general website information. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including responsibility arising from fraud or deliberate misconduct.
12. Privacy and deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Instructions for requesting deletion are available on our User Data Deletion page.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Courts with jurisdiction in Dhaka will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or dispute-resolution requirements that apply.
14. Changes and contact
