The Safe Haven We Wished We Had

Founded Jan 2025

I’ve been competing in taekwondo since I was a kid. Over the years, I saw so many talented young fighters—especially girls—give up early because they got burnt out, injured, or simply didn't have anyone guiding them properly through the real challenges of the sport. I co-founded Banani Taekwondo Club in January 2025 because I wanted to create the exact space I wished I had when I was starting out: a place where young athletes are taken seriously, trained safely, and given real opportunities to step onto big stages.

Role: Head Coach

Led a squad of 9 student athletes competing across 32+ individual and team events in Sparring & Poomsae. Handled pre-fight warmups, corner strategy between rounds, weight checks, and immediate ringside care (ice, taping, quick recovery).
